The Road to Sedalia
Not looking forward to transporting four angry, frightened and traumatized cats 1700 miles. We are going with two per car. Taz and Gigi will probably go with Eric, Boo and Charlotte will go with me. Boo and Charlie will have a bit quieter ride, but I doubt that they will like it any better. We decided that we are finally at the point where we don't need two Honda Elements. We actually need one of our cars to be a truck, but we'll get to that after we arrive in Sedalia and probably not until we buy our second house, which will be a fixer-upper and we'll have more of a need for a truck. So we'll eventually end up with three vehicles. We went ahead and traded in my Element for this (not so) little beauty. Hard not to want to call her "Big Red," but Eric rather likes "Countess Bathory." Only history buffs will get it. I'm not sure I really relate to a wicked Transylvanian countess, but the car does have kind of a look.
House Number One
I guess I need to backtrack a bit to really get to the beginning of this project, but I'm going to start with the house anyway. We made an offer on this cute little house and our offer has been accepted. We will be closing soon and on our way to Sedalia, Missouri. It's very tiny with sort of a "mini" everything. Mini front porch, mini deck and side yard, mini front yard. And a mini backyard which will soon be pretty much no backyard because we are having a driveway put in along the side street so we can park back there. The driveway you see to the left of the house belongs to the neighbors. We have no driveway.
